Bucks County Classic Cyclosportif

The Cyclosportif is a spirited recreational ride, open to the public, that takes in the magnificent beauty of Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The challenging ride begins on the start/finish line of the Thompson Bucks County Classic professional race and finishes at the Cyclo Hospitality Tent located on the final turn of the racecourse. There, the finishers will enjoy a post-ride meal and watch the thrilling action of the pros racing, all from a beautiful vantage point.

There are 62- and 31-mile rides to choose from, feed zones at the Bridgetown Athletic Association in Upper Black Eddy (this is truly beautiful cycling territory) and at the iconic Lumberville General Store. The hills are hard! So do bring a good selection of gears and a bicycle in excellent working order.

The following is important: the Cyclosportif is not a Gran Fondo (which is in fact a race) nor is it a race. The Cyclo is a recreational ride on open roads where riders are to obey the rules of the road, much as the sportives in the UK are run. That doesn’t meant that the participants are in for an easy ride – good, deep fatigue from the Bucks County terrain is guaranteed for every participant.

Please sign up to enjoy this convivial ride through some of the best cycling terrain in the country. Then watch the pros in action from your tent. It’s a grand day and we hope to see you there. For more information and to register please visit http://buckscountyclassic.com/races/cyclosportif.
