In the early morning hours and quickly following the first gun shot, The Weekly Fight, a non-profit, veteran organization that raises money for post-traumatic growth, opened the race running 13.1 miles in formation. Runners ran out of the stadium through the quaint borough of Kennett Square and onto the picturesque, country roads of both Kennett and East Marlborough Township. In addition to running along a few of Chester County’s most scenic roads, runners were also cheered on by 13 aid stations. For a small mushroom town located just outside of Philadelphia, the community came out in droves to support the event which later culminated at The Creamery Beer Garden. Thanks to Victory Brewing Company, the MCHM’s title sponsor, runners and community members alike indulged in local food and brew. Cash prizes were awarded to the overall fastest Male and Female and additional prizes awarded to the top 3 male and female age group winners.
